10 Skin Care Mistakes To Avoid

# Using harsh cleansers A lot of people do this and I'm guilty of it too. Just because you have an oily skin doesn't mean you should strip your skin of all it's oil. Any cleanser that dries out your skin is harsh. If your skin feels dry or flaky after cleansing then that cleanser is bad for your skin type. Harsh cleansers strip the face of it's natural oil and the face tries to overcompensate by producing even more oil which can clog your pores and cause acne #Skipping sunscreen Because you can spend a full day outside without getting a sunburn doesn't mean you don't need a sunscreen. Prolonged unprotected exposure to the sun harmful UVA and UVB rays can cause some serious damage no matter your skin type or color. Wrinkles, dark spots and even cancer. Sunscreen is your best friend! #Over exfoliating This is one of the biggest mistake people often make. Your skin should be exfoliated only once or twice a week. Dry Skin Care Routine

Dry skin is parched all year round even after you have moisturized. To prevent your skin from feeling dry, flaky and uncomfortable, you need a routine that helps it hold onto moisture. You need to acquire moisture from external sources to compensate for the lack of natural oil production of your skin. The upside to having a dry skin is that you rarely get acne, blackheads and breakouts and the downside is that you are likely to get wrinkles and fine lines earlier that those with oily skin. Skin Care Routine Cleansing: while cleansing can be harsh on dry skin, it is no excuse to avoid it all together. Cleanse your skin twice daily, morning and night. Foam and gel cleansers usually are too harsh for your dry skin, cleansing milk however is ideal for dry skin as it keeps your skin moisturized and hydrated. Exfoliating:  exfoliate once or twice a week morning or night whichever time you prefer. Dry skin people feel they shouldn't exfoliate as their skin is already

Oily skin care routine

Last week I wrote a post on how to determine skin type I strongly recommend that you read that first   https://mybloomdairies.blogspot.com/2019/11/how-to-determine-your-skin-type.html This is my second post on the skin care series. If you have an oily skin like I do you will agree with me that while a glossy sheer is gorgeous on your hair and nails it is certainly not appealing on your face. Oily skin implies that your skin has overactive sebaceous gland which produces more sebum (oil) than you actually need this makes your pores large , makes you prone to blackheads and acne and let's not forget about the midday shine. The good news about oily skin is that your risk of getting fine lines and wrinkles are significantly reduced. So you see having oily skin isn't all that bad, I have put together a day and night skin care regimen to alleviate your skin care woes. DAY TIME ROUTINE Cleanser : oily skin cannot go with
